Chile
Story 1: Crossing to Chile, the process was simple, that if I had to fill out some papers to take the bike with me to this country, after leaving the border continue to Santiago de Chile where I spent by the famous passage where so snails call a portion of the road where there are 27 hairpin bends, to reach the Andes village 60 kilometers from the capital to see me with Renato is a motorcyclist in the capital which I could not find, so continue to the capital parandome 20 kms before to call Renato de Pnew there I met another biker named Ramon who did me the favor to lend me his cell phone and talk to my contact at the end reach the capital and here we were, after talking a while we continue to house a Mexican friend who I knew who would be hosting that night came another Mexican friend and his wife, where we shared a talk in the company of a few beers.
Story 2:Stay well and take the adventurous to make him change the oil to a place that my friend from Southern motorcycles (http://www.australmoto.net) recommended me, being the workshop of the Carabineros de Chile (The Police) . After being several days relaxing and walking around the capital of the country, my friend Antonio who gave me accommodation for almost a week, back to Mexico and I continue my way to Valparaiso and Viña del Mar, cities to the seashore, the first with lots of color in their homes and buildings, the second a very famous because here is carried out a music festival widely viewed internationally. After touring both cities return to Santiago to stay two more days and take advantage of the time and learn about other areas of the city, to spend the couple of days back to Argentina to continue to the north.
Story 3: I returned to Chile in the Atacama desert crossing Jama step one of the highest chile crosses have arrived at an altitude of 4800 meters, where he felt very cold weather as the temperature dropped to 5 degrees , after driving for several hours to reach San Pedro de Atacama, a desert town of the same name, a tourist place, but keeping the same architecture and streets of a mystical land, after being in the hostel a break here I found Rodrigo de Temuco a city south of the capital of the country who came to San Pedro to spend a few days and see the surroundings, so we went everywhere together knowing next to Ariel also a Spanish who came 2 years ago to Antofagasta City working as a motorcycle mechanic.
Story 4: After several days of being in the Atacama Ollague continue my way through Calama where I stayed to see the bike Austral group who are dedicated to motorcycles income equal to the adventurous to agree when we would see on the border with Bolivia to the path of the Salar de Uyuni together because they had a trip to the salt in the same time that I visited.
Thanks to everyone who made my time in Chile something more than just a tour of this great country and my Mexican friends who are working in the capital of this country.
Extra story: I had planned to return to Chile for reasons of border closures in Bolivia with Peru to return to this great country to cross into Peru by the city of Arica, a very beautiful beachfront, a very pleasant temperature to which Bolvia had been feeling in the sea breeze to reach this city reminded me of the same climate of my hometown in Mexico.
