Venezuela
Upon entering the immigration procedures Venezuela was very fast, but then when we started the paperwork for the motorcycle was very slow and we were asked to buy insurance for the same issue it so long before we arrived at 2 pm as of 12 noon to 2 pm close, it took over 3 hours to get permits and buy some international stamps as input tax, to reach Aduna office told us they had already closed, so now we are in a hotel on the border waiting for the day tomorrow to internal power in Venezuela. Today we got up early to continue with the process of entry of the motorcycle and received the news arriving that there was no electricity and probably would come the next day thankfully return after 2 hours of electricity to continue with the process, deliver papers and would have to return at 2 pm for our permission, upon return we had 2 hours waiting for the signature of the chief who was not in the building, and had to receive permission to go to traffic for them to put another label for to continue on our path, to reach that office wait 1 ½ hours and that was not the person to that job, after 27 hours from the start of the process of entry into Venezuela we continue to San Cristobal, were joined by a motorcyclist in the area of Hector who met him yesterday while waiting for the border formalities, a motorcycle very good people who knew told us about some trips and we've been lucky to meet you too, on our way we fell night with some rain, mist and if we add many curves conduction of the day was a little tired today where the traveled 50 kilometers in 1 hour and a half, and to get to San Cristobal were looking for a hotel to sleep and the street we found Douglas a motorcyclist who kindly guided us through the city accompanied by his two daughters on his motorcycle. The next day came about to leave Douglas Javier the editor of the wild bikes who would not do an interview for the next issue would come out in January, Gino came 10 minutes after a motorcyclist in the area of Tachira who did not invite to your home to spend a few days, so we came to the home of Gino who has treated us like royalty, a wonderful person who already talking about a trip he made to South America turned out to have many friends in common motorcyclists. We spent several days enjoying the hospitality of Gino, who invited us to do variuos tours of the area, today we went to San Pedro River to bring toys to the children of this community and then go to the farm with the Olympus Ronald who was who organized the whole movement of gifts for underprivileged children and with whom we share a wonderful evening in the company and all the organizers of the fellowship. We continue to San Cristobal decided to spend Christmas as hot as that company has offered the family of Gino, we continued with tours around where we marveled at all the sights and places we could go, we continue to meet people, particularly motorcyclists the area where barbecues at night have not stopped giving us welcome you to Venezuela, people are very beautiful, very attentive and very friendly, motorcyclists over 30 years of experience with many tours of South America where his experiences have helped us education for the remainder of the trip. We have spent Christmas at the home of Mario's brother Gino, where they met several families to spend dinner together, Gino gift-giving as a gift a car to his son and Mario gift a car to his daughter, Gino gave me a calendar with very cool photos of Venezuela and Renzo's son Gino gave me a plastic bracelet with a offroad tire design for my part I did Gino delivery of an old car book collection, after spending a night so nice to us return to our home to rest. The next day at noon we went to Mario again to eat a roast as part of the day after Christmas Eve and farewell to us because the next day left San Cristobal. The next day we left home en route to Caracas Gino where we would meet with Tomas a good friend of the capital who would find us in Maracay, the trip was going well until the rear shock started to pull the oil suspension having nothing for the bike, that day in Barquisimeto domras by more than 600 miles of good road trip with a ridiculous price of gasoline to fill the motorcycle and has approximately 50 cents on the dollar as this country is more expensive a bottle of water to fill the tank of a car race something funny but also something to think and see how a government can mishandled fuel subsidy as aforesaid, the next day we went to Caracas and Maracay almost at the bike started to give faults oil pressure, we Maracay center with a world of people everywhere, and food stalls selling clothes, I felt a bit trapped with so many people walking around the bike, wondering where he came from, among other questions have been doing something everyday on the trip. We meet Tomas who greet us after we took the capital Caracas to go home to rest, almost reaching the shock does not give any more and broke the adventurous suddenly getting off and losing the driving of it, where vast, effective braking control and stop the bike without incident, we had to spend all my luggage on the bike shot to lead the adventurous to 5 miles per hour back to the house of Tomas. We are in the capital and most peaceful making some calls for them to send me the shock of Mexico that had it in my house before leaving, he was sent to Colombia and then Hector's friend we met on the border between Colombia and Venezuela, I will make the cross for Venezuela and that this country is very difficult to get something from abroad without paying money very high import taxes, other than that the paperwork is extremely slow. After rolling over 16.000 km in 10 countries across'm in Venezuela in San Cristobal where I spent Christmas in the city located 40 minutes from the border with Colombia where I had to return to the capital of Caracas and the rear shock of the adventurous was broken by an oil leak in it and falling into a hole almost to the Venezuelan capital completely broke down suddenly getting off the adventurous few centimeters of soil and making it impossible to continue the journey. In all it went very well because I came to a very low speed and the original shock had it in my home in Mexico. So after 5 days' journey came the shock to Cucuta border with Venezuela, they had to send to Colombia and Venezuela does not accept imports of any kind in this type of bike, a 14-hour journey by bus to San Cristobal and then take a taxi to the border 40 minutes more on the way, come to Colombia, I got in touch with Hector the motorcyclist who lent me his address in that country so that it can send with the help of my father who was the one who sent it from me Mexico have made all the customs paperwork so he could be sent. After paying taxes in Colombia the shock we received in Cucuta and there I thanked Hector for the help they had offered me desinterezadamente and so to continue my journey, now I have the shock in my hands waiting to return to Caracas to install and follow with the trip, no doubt return to the border was something interesting because I saw people who were excellent porto San cristobal my time, not to mention a Colombian rider Hector lent me the address of his home in Colombia to send the shock absorber, which in Venezuela is impossible to import, among many others who have continued to invite me grills (barbecues) on their farms on the outskirts of the city, I've also experienced some unpleasant situations was on the border with Venezuela where I had a military review of my luggage and removing dollars under the pretext that Venezuela can not internalize this foreing currency thankfully was very little compared to the carrying amount, the country of Venezuela is suffering a lot of corruption in its institutions and abuse of authority is present day in day, I witnessed the car was stolen as a person at gunpoint and then sell as spare as this country there is no spare parts for cars to be very difficult the importation of these.I am in San Cristobal waiting for the day tomorrow to return to the capital and continue learning and enjoying the people and places that have undoubtedly make Venezuela a very beautiful country to roll. Later two more days to get on the bus as it was termination of rental and all means of transport were full, so after this wait is finally reaching the capital of Venezuela again to install the shock and to continue learning this country , arrives to change the shock and what was my surprise that a screw holding the piece was all bent out impossible to complete, which after 2 hours I could be cutting out, then went to a nuts and bolts to look as it is special hardness, and in my hands the screw to install it along with the shock being my bike perfectly for the suspension, now I just needed a new problem was that I was warming up as I told in past stories, we come to a workshop Fabian Argentinean who worked for many years in bmw and now has his own workshop, Czech and rear wheel well just found that the fan was not spinning and it was that caused this increase in temperature, and manually unlock the matter settled, there were some time talking about the trip and other travelers who have gone through the workshop, when I go Fabian charging anything for it is a rule that he has to help the traveler as much as possible without wear one, many Thanks Fabian. Days after we shot, Carolina (my friends in Caracas) and me at the blessing of the bikes in a neighborhood of Caracas mercedes where year after year a mass to bless the bikes and there is no crash on them, at the end of Mass the father goes through all the bikes we take holy water, which this time were more than 200 motorcycles that had to bless, no doubt a live event, there I was able to pass the microphone and introduce myself and briefly tell about my trip around the world, thank you very much to the organizers Venezuela strips club for letting me participate in your event and thank all the people I met there and many more that it already knew and I ran with them in the mass. The next day I had a reunion with people of Venezuela Samsung and they had really enjoyed my trip and wanted to give me a cell phone to stay connected around the world through the sign above the Galaxy model, to get well and I received excellent My surprise was that aside from the phone also gave me a tablet Galaxy to be far more informed of what's happening around the world, thank you very much to the people of Venezuela by Samsung support they gave me and also thank you very much to Edmund who was who got me in contact Samsung Venezuela. I spent some great days in Caracas meeting people, pacing around the city, send postcards to a trip to sell so she can travel, if anyone is interested just send me an email at the address shown on page, I went to to watch the latest film releases in 3D, well surely started doing some life in this beautiful city, a day before my departure was the birthday of a friend of Tomas where I met many people with whom I made a friendship that has lasted more beyond that night, the next day it was time to leave Caracas and continue to Puerto de la Cruz, no doubt left many friends in the capital of this great country (thanks Tomas and Carolina), out of Caracas after a trip I play something quiet but feel a little tired and I had more than a month without rolling road to get to Puerto de la Cruz I received my good friend Edgar who took me to where I lodged, a house to myself with all the amenities one could ask, Edgar treated me really well I get to eat, to visit the city, among other things, the last day we went to roll toward the viewpoint of the city to go after your family lunch and I continue my journey, no doubt those 3 days in Puerto de la Cruz were very pleasant in company with my friend Edgar. Arrive at Puerto Ordaz in the city midway between Puerto de la Cruz and La Gran Sabana, spent two days there in a hostel to rest some of the still felt tired for just hooking go back to the route. Puerto Ordaz Sali early due to the Gran Sabana, where a spectacular road to go coming to this paradise on earth could begin to appreciate a very different vegetation to what had been seeing, to get to La Gran Sabana was seen all the points interest that are very well marked on the road and are the cornerstone of the virgin, the war memorial, jump the swallows, a paradise among others so it would continue and go where my campsite Jumping Kawi, a beautiful place where I received Indian family of Emilio, son of Cornelius the chief of the tribe of the pemones, my tent locate it within walking distance of the jump, I've been going around, talking to people, Emilio's family has told me where as the Indians survived the Spanish arrival, show me spearheads more than 800 years old made of red stone called jasper. The second day gave me a necklace with the symbol of their tribe, a very pretty necklace that I wear, what better gift than a necklace made by the Indians own hands and that was a coincidence that today was my birthday, so without saying anything received the best gift for my birthday. I've gone in the direction of Santa Elena Venezuela's border with Brazil, do not miss some jumps but in this great paradise that is The Great Savannah, as pacheco cascade, waterfall jasper among other places, a short trip but very beautiful in vegetation that every mile traveled was disappearing until you reach the border town, a very quiet town, with many sites for trips to La Gran Sabana, very different from the other borders as it breathes an air of tranquility, tomorrow Brazil entered Venezuela leave behind a country with many contrasts, a country of wonderful people, beautiful women, a very depressing political corruption, but they certainly are beautiful people and places made my stay in Venezuela one of the best countries I visited on my trip from Mexico to South America, thanks to everyone who made my adventure in Venezuela spectacular.
